- Established in the year 2006 with committed and experienced faculty.
- We have a separate well stocked department library.
- We have three computer labs with necessary software for the courses taught.

Achievement by Students
- Achieved 100% result for the first out going batch (2006 -2009).
- Achieved 100% result in V Semester 2008 – 09.
- Achieved 100% result in IV semester for 4/5 subjects 2009-10.
- Two batches of V semester have participated in Take the Great Mind Challenges with IBM (TGMC -2008), a National Software Development program and certificates were awarded by IBM.
- Students and faculty of MCA Dept. have voluntarily contributed Rs.38, 000 (Thirty Eight Thousand) towards family of a student, NASEER PASHA-07911F0025 who died in an accident.

Profile – HOD
- M.Ravi is HOD of MCA Department.
- Mr.Ravi Holds Master of Technology in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi and Bachelor of Instrumentation Technology from the Andhra University.
- He has over 17 Years of Experience in Research and Development, Project Management, Shop floor Production and plant maintenance activities in engineering and process, software projects and teaching.
- His diverse work experience includes in Petrochemical and Engineering industries and Software industry.
- Before joining VJIT as HOD of Master of Computer Application department, he has taught two years in an Engineering College Hyderabad in the Computer Science and Engineering department.
