ABOUT US

The department of Management of Business Administration was established in the year 2006, with an intake of 60 students, with the approval of AICTE and is affiliated to JNTUH. The Department is presently imparting three electives viz., Finance, Marketing and Human Relation Relations Management, as per the choice of the ongoing batch of students. The Department is headed by a senior Faculty member having more than three decades of rich industrial experience at senior level and having exposure to various areas in Finance Coupled with Good Teaching Experience.

VISION

To  design management practices by creating new management professionals, academicians with knowledge of developing values, entrepreneurial & socio economic  activities and managing leaders with commitment to achieve organizational goals.

MISSION

  • To provide highly committed, disciplined, skilled and creative young Management professionals to various sectors such as Industry, Academics, Consultancy etc., thus contributing to the growth of National Economy
  • To strengthen alumni network and network with various groups of industries and firms

OBJECTIVES

  • To provide learning facilities by extending online membership of various knowledge portals and subscribing to journals of national and International repute.
  • To organize student’s development programs aimed at improving the oral and written communication skills.
  • To implement EDC and test out some entrepreneurial ideas.
  • To promote industry interaction by organizing various clubs
  • To implement thoroughly various tools of learning- case studies, role playing,
  • To map course structure with various case studies
  • To induct highly skilled faculties having good teaching and industrial experience.

INFRASTRCTURE FACILITIES

  • The Department is housed in a newly constructed elegant building with well furnished class rooms, located in the same floor.
  • The Department is supported by two modern well equipped labs –one for imparting Computer applications and the other for improving communication skills to the students.
  • Well committed, sincere and dedicated staff with high motivational skills and abilities is a big asset to the Department.
  • Computers with internet facility exclusively given to the staff help them to update their knowledge.
  • A modern  and fully equipped conference hall just beside the class rooms helps organizing various guest lecturers, seminars etc.,

LIBRARY FACILITIES

The College is having a very well furnished central library having a good collection of around 2000 books relating to MBA Dept. All these reference books will be issued to the students.  The college is also subscribing to various national and international management journal and magazines numbering to thirty which helps students to equip themselves with the latest developments taking place in the management area. In addition, MBA Department is having departmental library having books on all subjects for the reference of faculties. The department is also maintaining a departmental library with good collection of reference books for the use of faculties.

ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY THE DEPRTMENT

The Department is regularly conducting external as well as class room seminars and Business quiz programmes, student development programmes, Group discussions as a part of   curriculum. Department is organizing guest lecturers of external resource persons. The department has started a film club and films on good Management themes are being shown to the students to enhance their leadership qualities and team work.

PLACEMENT AND INTERNSHIPS

Many of our VJIT MBA students secured good positions in Industries, Educational institutions, consulting firms etc., during 2009.  12 students were selected by  M/s SERVOMAX  INDIA LIMITED ( a Rs. 300 Crore Turnover company)  through campus selections.

-Nine students were selected for internship by M/s Acalmer Oils   & Fats Ltd.,, (Rs. 1000 Crore Turnover  company) and  Kotak  Direct, Hyderabad.

ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

Achieved 100 percent results in IIIrd semester and 98% in IV semester of       2007-09 batches.
