- A Symposium named cyberveda08 was conducted. The main emphasis was to highlight the hidden talents of students through events and activities.

Profile – HOD
- Prof. K.P.Menon is HOD of CSE Department.
- Prof. Menon holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from IIT, Bombay and a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University, USA.
- He has over 38 years of experience in Research and Development, Production and Teaching in the field of Computer Hardware, Software, Telecommunication and Information Technology.
- His diverse work experience includes working as a Scientist in DRDO, as a faculty member in Southern Illinois University, USA, as a Dy. Gen Mgr in Bharat Electronics Ltd, and as a Hardware Engineer in Saudi Arabia. He has also worked as an IT Consultant for 10 years in USA.
- After returning from USA in 2005, he taught one year in an Engineering College in Hyderabad as HOD of CSE & IT. Before joining VJIT in 2008 as HOD of CSE Department, he was Principal of an Engineering College in Hyderabad for two years.
